HUGE NEWS: On tour now with LAMB OF GOD

We have huge news with you: we are heading out on tour this week with LAMB OF GOD and DECAPITATED in the USA starting this Thursday for nearly a month. This all came together over the weekend, and we couldn’t pass up a chance like this! Thanks to our friends in SKELETONWITCH for being so understanding about our situation and apologies to our Canadian friends that are upset we won’t be visiting you with the ‘Witch in the next few weeks.

For immediate release: ANCIIENTS: signs to Season of Mist

Season of Mist is proud to announce the signing of Vancouver metal quartet ANCIIENTS. ANCIIENTS has finished mastering their debut album slated for release in 2013. The as-yet-untitled album sees the quartet (Kenny Cook – Lead Guitar & Vocals, Chris Dyck – Guitar & Vocals, Aaron Gustafson – Bass, Mike Hannay – Drums ) forging together smoldering apocalyptic riffs, classic hard rock influences and unforgettable vocal melodies with an interplay praising both the natural and occult.

Regarding the signing, the band released the following statement: “We are honored to have Season of Mist release our debut, the fact that they chose us and believe in us means the world. We are proud to represent them and have them representing us as artists, and look forward to working with them for years to come.”

Formed in 2010, ANCIIENTS have quickly taken the Vancouver scene by storm. In their short time as a band, ANCIIENTS have already shared the stage with acts such as Pig Destroyer, Skeletonwitch, Manilla Road, 3 Inches of Blood, Boris, and High on Fire, and been invited to perform at the prestigious Sled Island and Noctis Festivals.

ANCIIENTS’ previous release, ‘Snakebeard’, can be heard via the ANCIIENTS BandCamp page.

Played a somewhat hometown show in Abbotsford at the College, Sept 15th…ruled!…First Reign and GSTS owned…here is some video from that shit if you dig…

Had a show the following night with our pals Jucifer at The Risckshaw…they couldn’t make it, but it was still a killer turnout and rad times were had…thanks to Mendozza, Three Wolf Moon and Aquanaut for kicking ass…

We have released the Snakebeard Ep as a 7″ on WAR ON MUSIC RECORDS!!!…super stoked to be working with Charlie on this…his label rules and he is the best dude ever…might still be some of the “earth brown” vinyl left…check this out and order one here dudes!

Noctis Metalfest!!!…where to begin…this was the best shit we have ever done…met tons of amazing people, partied fucking hard, enjoyed wicked sets by killer bands…shout outs to Luc Lemay, Chris Bruni, Frankie Lewis, Sarah Kitteringham, Kyle Harcott, Clennon, Adrien, Charlie and others…rad partying/playing with Manilla Road, Blood Ceremony, Speedwolf, Hoopsnake, Pig Destroyer, Venom, Kataplexis, Archspire, Midnight…you all rule so hard…fuck yeah…and the biggest thanks of all goes to Terese for putting it all together and inviting us to play!!!…praying for Bolt Thrower next year!!!

Shitkicked the Interurban Gallery in Vancouver with Witch Mountain and Castle the other night…wicked…great vibe…for sure playing with those bands again…shirts were exchanged and doobs were smoked.

Played at The Astoria, Oct 28th with KENMODE!!!…man was it ever killer…best dudes and amazing band…it got rad.

…and…finally…we have a show in Abbotsford coming up at a pub Nov 30th…should be fun…and then we play with HIGH ON FUCKING FIRE!!! at The Venue, Dec 16th with Goatwhore and LoPan…should be a nice little year ender…after this show we plan to take a break and wait for the full length release show in the new year…still have fucking HUGE news regarding this…hope to be able to share with you all very soon!!!
